Social networking sites are very popular in the internet and Facebook can be considered the most popular of them all. High level of configuration and thousands of applications to choose from are one of the main advantages of Facebook , and lets not forget more applications are created almost every day. Although it’s a great way to keep in touch with friends there are downsides to it as well. Recent studies have shown that companies are losing millions of dollars because of Facebook applications ,since employees are addicted to different kinds of application available on Facebook. Some of these applications requires you to be constantly online to have any progress. Applications like Counter Strike , Warbook , Star Wars are some of the applications that rewards users who are constantly online.While you can play these games without being online constantly you have little chance of progress if you play it like that. From the above applications Warbook is the most popular game in our office. Many are playing it and some are playing it even during office hours which is surely a loss of money for the the companies.
I did a small research before writing this article and the things I found in the forum were pretty interesting. The alliances , the wars etc etc. TPL seems like the strongest alliance and RA seems to be hated by most. WBPC, VLK and Prem seems to be the honorable alliances around but I could be wrong with this facts so feel free to correct me. Another thing I found interesting was that you cant actually win and finish the game. Most wars are ended by ceasefires since you can actually wipe out an enemy alliance. I found the retirement speeched very interesting as well. Some of the hatred shown in some of the replies to the retirement posts simply amazed me. In my opinion warbook has gone beyond a simple fun game and is one of the main sources of time wasting for people , And by looking at the kind of addiction that is shown in the forum I think very soon people will be kicked out from their jobs for playing warbook. ( Hope that haven't happened already )
What forum are you referring to RA is one of the most liked alliances of them all , they are one of the oldest alliances and notable for their honorable play. Its alliances like TPL and WBPC that abuses the rules and bring a bad name to the game. As for the addicted part , I whole heartedly agree.
I think he means the facebook group u idiot , and you want find many posts saying how good RA are in that discussion board, in fact you will find a lot supporting the writers claim. As for the addicted thing you should have the self control to do it just enough without interfering with your work.

I play war book and I am a member of perm. Whether you have to constantly be online or not depends on the way you play. For example I play it when I have free time. My kingdom does not grow that fast but it is growing. I know some people who play it only once a week and grow real big. The goal is, when you are online you have to attack and capture more land than what you will loose when you are offline.
Warbook is not the first of its kind but its success cam because it was a part of a social network. Its more fun when you work with the alliance and crush the bad guys and police the game. However sometimes players forget that its just a game.
Spot on about RA
TPL is relatively new, and they are strong now, but weakening. But every week, the strongest alliances changes. A week in warbook is a like a decade in normal time, things can totally change…
Nah, not so true about RA. If you finish your research you’ll see that most of the reasons people hate RA is that they have been successful with their multis- rather than most alliances who have been unsuccessful with their multis.

RA- yes, very hated.
But only because their leader was a jerk to most…posting rudely and not trying to improve their situation.
VLK- loved by most. They are famous for being “the alliance with hot females.” Very loved indeed.
Overall…yes, a very addicting game. You cannot succed, at this point, without being funded, multying, scripting, or tapping. If you can get past 1 mil acres without any of this, kudos to you.

Overall, a great game…loads of fun, but the politics and forum are really where most of the game is played.
