Where would bloggers be without Entrecard

I don't know whether to love or hate the Entrecard team , they always seem to introduce the best things when I'm away :( , After introducing great things like comment rush and the entre-digg community now they are introducing another great thing,Entrecard-SezWho partnership , which will hopefully increase the bounce rate of your blog and get you more comments.

What is SezWho ?

I guess the explanation in your web site best describes SezWho ,

SezWho enables contributors to build portable reputation. Without SezWho user reputations are confined to a single site. With SezWho participants carry their reputation with them across the web.

The portable reputation part is highlighted for good reason , because the "Red Carpet" plug-in provided by SezWho show your reputation to others , so people who leaves nice post comments are ignored automatically. All you have to do is leave meaningful comments in other posts and SezWho will take care of the rest.

Advantages of using SezWho ?

  • Visitors will be more inclined to leave comments since they are rewarded with EC credits. And if you comment often enough I will give you a PR2 back link as well :)
  • Visitors will leave more meaningful and useful comments since it will effect there ratings now
  • Problem with things like do follow enabling and top commentators plug-in is they reward everyone the same way.meaningful comment and a nice post comment both get the same reward. With SezWho blog owners can reward meaningful commentators more.
  • If a blog has SezWho installed a "who am I" link is added next to you name so the others can see the comments you have left around the blog sphere. Whats more if they like your comments they provide a RSS feed to follow your comments as well. How cool is that :)
  • Provides you with your very own account so you can track who rated your comments and how they rated it. At the moment nobody has rated any of my comments :( , come on people, I leave useful comment right ?  :)

With so many great features , EC credit rewards and the oppurtunity to get some great traffice there is simply no reason not to try this. So now start commenting , so I can rate you and get your some credits :)

Let's be sociable, come on, you know you want to. I appreciate the support.

  • I think it is important to data and this very useful benefit for me .Thanking you
  • Cerswerie
good resourse Anyway by sight very much it is pleasant to me
  • I have said this in many places, but still feel the same way: this partnership is for the best. Many bloggers disagree and hate the idea of giving credits for comments, but guess what? Not many people are getting credits. You need a 3.6 average (when you join SezWho you start at 2.5) so you need basically a 5 star rating to even get 1 credit.

I just wish that they would utilize the ratings more than what they do. I want top posts, top comments, top commentators, etc.
  • You are right. entrecard has increased the engagement on my blog using comments....
  • I'm not sure if I'm earning points because there's still nothing in my dashboard but I'll post my comment anyway.

I feel the same way you do. Entrecard had opened new windows for me and exposed me to the real blogging world. Thanks to entrecard. Hopefully Sezwho will also deliver as promised.

    Thanks for sharing,
  • The SezWho partnership is indeed a great idea. More comments will certainly decrease bounce rates as RoxxyMetal said. Comments will also add value to posts. Meaningful comments will also be indexed by search engines which will also help in getting more traffic.

The partnership is already created a lot of buzz in the blogosphere. It has been featured in Mashable and Inquisitr by Duncan Riley(former writer of TechCrunch). This is great for both Entrecard and its members. Entrecard will get more users and members will get more exposure.

Properly rating a comment means that it is meaningful and the owner of the blog appreciates the comment and the content of that comment. I give high ratings to commenters who shares their own opinion. They do not have to agree with me in order to get a high rating.

@AZBlogging: So why is this not good for the blogosphere? Meaningful comments, more traffic, more exposure, more readership, high PR, what else can you ask for? It's up to the owner of the blog to mark the spammer's comments if he/she is indeed spamming for credits. I already got a dose of that in my blog. The guy commented on every post on the first page of my blog with a comment "Great post" and "I really enjoyed this" and so on which includes visit my blog URL. Luckily Akismet detected it as spam. Maybe he already did it to his blog.
  • I think there's a limit in about 15 credits per day or something like that ,so I don't think anyone can spam the system and earn credits. This is more like encouraging more meaningful comments. Since Myself and most of us are new to the system I think we should give it a try
  • I love SezWho very very much, but I really don't believe its partnership with Entrecard will really be of any good to the blogosphere.

I can't really bare thinking of the fact that Entrecard is planning to start rewarding commentators for good comments. Are bloggers being paid to comment or what? Should I just jump from blog to blog commenting because I want some reward? How genuine will my comments be?
  • If you have a higher rating the chances of another person clicking through to check you out is much greater. Obviously the left comment must also be meaningful and useful.
  • Entrecard isn't the only sources of traffic.

What could rating a comment do to you anyway?
  • Bounce Rate reduction would be great. But with the "who am I" link now people can see the the comments you have left on other blogs and might visit to see that comment. So little by little traffic adds up.
  • Yeah decreasing the bounce rate would be really nice!! I'm a big fan of Entrecard and the partnership with SezWho should help with that. I guess only time will tell.
  • You mean decrease the bounce rate. I'm waiting a while on this one.
  • Although I don't mind the EC credits this is more about traffic for me , the more comments you do and the more comments you get can bring you a lot of traffic.
  • For many bloggers this is going to be very good. For me it wont make a great difference i use Entrecard but rarely drop my card at most i might do between 10-20 drops a day.
