Posted 9th September 2008 | View Comments

When your blog starts to grow you should try to make is as professional looking as possible. Adding the following pages to your blog will not only make it look professionlal , it will surely reduce the amount of time you spend answering questions , replying to mails etc. When going through the stared items in my Google reader I found 20 types of pages the every blogger should consider written by Darren Rowse at Problogger. This was a while back when I was relatively new to blogging and adding pages was least of my worries. But I'm glad I starred it because I think its about time I add at leaset some of these pages. I haven't added every page given in the post ( I'm not famous enough to add a Press page ;) ) but depending on your blog you might consider adding few of those pages so check out the post to find the pages you are missing :) .Below are few pages I have added.

About Me page

Well this is a page every blogger should definitely have. If a new visitor finds your article interesting this is the page they usually check out so try to make it interesting. There are blog posts out there advising how to write your about page , so read learn and apply. Hope you like my about me page :) .

Contact Me page

Another must have page , advertiser likes your blog and wants to adverties or want an review and tries to contact you , Oops no way to contact you :( , I found few paid reviews and advertising oppurtunities through the contact form , so you should add one immediately if you haven't added one already. If you don't know any HTML or PHP and don't know how to create a Contact me page try Kontactr , its free :)

Archives Page

A visitor likes what your writing and wants to check your previous posts. Well make it easy for them by adding an Archive page.If you check my Archive page you can see them seperated into months and arranged nicely with the post heading. That is not the default view , but an enhanced view using Smart Archive Wordpress plug in. Try the plug in , it is also free :)

Advertise Page

Well this is page that usually impresses new comers and makes you look professional , have this page although you have a hard time finding advertisers , keep working on creating unique  useful posts and they will come eventually.

The post has lots of other pages mentioned and describes why you should have them , so read it and add those missing pages.Few additional pages mentioned in the post are Press Page , Disclaimer Page ( To stop people sending hate mails for making money from your blog :( ) , FAQ pages , Landing pages , subscribe page ( I really should add one :) ) and a whole bunch more , so go read it.
