Google don’t like me

Posted 30th September 2008 | View Comments

Looks like Big G don't like this blog that much , the recent page rank update was a bit harsh on this blog with the page rank reduced from 2 to 0 :( . Well this is going to cost me a few dollars in my review earnings but other than that I don't think it will hurt my earnings that much. The good news is some of my internal pages got some decent rankings. My post about SLIIT got a PR2 which is nice and some of my other pages got a PR1. This might be a nice time to use a service like TNX.net where they pay you to display text links page wise instead of site wide links. The update is still in progress so I hope they might restore it later. Most of the posts that got ranked are my older posts which gets visitors everyday from Google. Lesson to be learned is write posts with relevant keywords in the title and traffic will come to you. Number of click through from the results page is also a factor in determining search engine rankings for individual posts so make sure you write a nice relevant excerpt so people doing the searching will click your link.

    Sorry to hear that your PR is now 0. any reasons why it happened?

    @Nihar,
    One reason could be that I did some paid reviews. But there are plenty of other sites that does the same thing so not quite sure of the reason. I’m going to request a review through the web master tools and see how it goes.
