This blog is now more than one years old , I learned a lot from last year , there are things I would have done differently if I have known the things that I know now , but I am glad that I went through this experience to learn all those things. I have neglected posting in this blog for a while and I am thankful for all the readers and subscribers who are still with me. Its not that I lost my passion for blogging , I still frequently update few other blogs like United Lanka where I blog mostly about my personal life. But I want this blog to be focused on making money online and at the moment I am exploring different avenues for income and they seem to be far more successful as well. Forex trading and building niche websites are two ideas I'm pursuing at the moment. Forex trading is already making me good money and I think I can do well with niche websites as well. Be on the lookout for a post about once a week where I will share my findings with you all. To round things up I will list down some things I would have done differently when starting this blog.
- Choose a better domain name - it is always a good idea to have keywords you are targetting in your domain name. Also make it easier to remember as well. unfortunately my domain name dont have either of those qualities. one work around is having keywords in your title.
- Pick a topic and stay focused - In the beginning I blogged about my personal life , blog design tips and making money online tips. While its a good to share details about your personal life once in a while its hard to build a strong following when you start blogging about variety of subjects.
- Put some effort into SEO - By no means I'm an expert in SEO but I am lot focused about it now. Search engine traffic is the best and it is also very steady. Although you might have to do some extra work long term benefits more that makes up for it.
