I used Google Friend Connect for a while, but it was difficult to customize for blog and seemed to slow things down for a while. I like the concept a lot, and I will keep it in mind as it develops.
Although I have uploaded the files a while ago I only recently added it to my blog. I added it before and removed it although I cant exactly remember the reason. But after reading about the SEO benefits of Google Friend Connect I thought this is a worthwhile investment
although it does slowdown the site a bit.
I have never really seen the purpose of Friend Connect but I do not know too much about it. I will visit some of the links you have provided here and maybe I will learn a thing or two. You have now given me some homework to do.
Its understandable and I have added it a while back and took removed it because I thought it want be much useful. After reading some of the posts about it I changed my mind because it provides some good opportunities to build back links and traffic.
