Does your readers care about your posting frequency ? In the age of RSS does it really matter ? Posting frequency is a question faced by many bloggers and I guess it depends on the blogger and the audience. Before RSS came along posting frequency was very important because people had no way of getting to know of your posts other than visiting your blog. But with the emergence of RSS I think it really is not that important. I read most of my favorite blogs from the feed reader and visit them only if I want to add a comment. I don't care much about there posting frequency because whenever they publish a new blog post I can see it in my reader. I just have to make sure to check my feed reader everyday

yes, but if you post too much too fast, people's RSS readers will get flooded and they'll lose interest and stop subscribing…
This is something I have not given any thought to but I do suspect that you are correct. More and more people seem to be using a RSS reader of some sort these days and to them the frequency of ones posting does not really matter.
I guess the quality of the post also matter , if someone is putting up quality posts every time no harm in posting frequently
I think the frequency matters for the rankings more information you upload more higher my Alexa ranking is. I think readers are waiting till you publish. Thanks for sharing.
There is a truth in more your post , more you get indexed in Google and more you get search engine traffic. This is especially true for long tail keyword posts
u can avoid posting daily but u should update the blog atleast alternate days or 2 to 3 times a week so as the readers know that our blog is still alive with useful updates and yes updating our blog with content helps in ranking purpose also. this will drive good traffic and ultimately more income.
Yep , although you can be a bit inconsistent with your posts , having no posts for a while is bad for reader and search engine point of view
