Is Entrebar ready for release ?

Entrecard has released Entrebar a, tool bar for Entrecard , well you have to call it a Firefox toolbar because that’s the only browser it currently works on. Firefox might be the best browser in the net , but for the average web surfer can get along fine without Firefox and leaving out IE users was a bad move by the Entrecard team. Not that it effects me since I primarily use Firefox but if you are IE user you will surely feel negelected , for me the best thing would have being delay it a while and get make it available for every user at once. The lease they could have done is dress it up a bit saying this is a beta version .

Advertising Made easier ?

Displaying the prize of advertising for the blog you are currently is was a great idea and it makes the life a lot easier if you are looking to advertise , But I’m not so sure the search functionality is working well. When I select a category then selects most popular and clicks the single arrow button I expect to be taken to the most popular make money online blog , instead I was taken to the second most popular one , but this happened randomly so it could be just me . And it would be great if those blogs open in a new tab , after all thats what made Firefox popular in the first place.

Dropping Made easier ?

In box is there to find out who dropped there cards and to reciprocate there drops , I doubt anyone uses it to randomly select a blog to go comment , so when I want to browse my in box I only want one option and that is not reciprocated , ok you can add random in there to make it fun , but most popular , newest or cheapest just does’nt make sense.And sometimes when I click the double arrows it shows only three or four blogs instead of ten , so its safe to say that I’m not going to use this to do my dropping just yet.

Since this is the first release I suppose you are bound to find few errors and Graham and phirate have being responding to user issues in the blog.So I think most of these probles will be fixed by the next release. Its not fair to only focus on the errors because there are some great feautures available through the tool bar.

• Ease account Swithching - Upto now the best thing about the tool bar , this option is useless if you have only one blog registered but if you are managing multiple blogs this could be a huge time saver.
• Ad prizes displayed - Now you don’t have to go to the the EC page of the blog to know there advertizing prize, you can see it displayed in the toolbar and bid for that spot from the toolbar itself.
• Stats available in the toolbar - shows you how many EC credits you have and how many drops you have made , makes it much easier to complete that 300 drops

Install or not ?

Although there are some bugs Entrebar have some great features as well. You are bound to get some bugs in the first release and I’m sure they will be fixed by the next release.If you have multiple blogs registered this will save you a lot of time for sure and I highly reccommend installing it. If you have just one blog registered then there’s no harm in installing it but I cant see any huge advantage.
