As the world of blogging expands there are hundreds of sites coming up that says they’ll get you traffic but few sites actually manages it. I have being trying Entrecard for only few days and I’m already pretty impressed by the traffic it generated. Well its sort of like a business card , where you can drop it off in other blogs, to let them know you visited their site. Of course to do that that blog must have the Entrcard widget in their blog.That’s not the only benefit you get for registering with EntreCard , there are a lot more. For different actions you get Entrecard credit which you can use for advertising your site , to hold contests etc, etc. Below are some ways which you can earn entercard credit.
- 1 credit for dropping off your card in another blog
- 1 credit everytime someone drops their card on your blog.
- And sometimes you can earn 500-1000 credits by winning contests.
After you earn the credit you can use them to advertise on other blogs. Can you see the Entercard widget on the sidebar? The ad appearing their was paid by using EntreCard credit. At the time of writing it takes 11 credits to advertise on my blog. Other than having some free advertising there are lots of other ways that can get traffic to your blog. Once you place the Entrecard widget on your blog it gets listed in Entrecard website , so other surfers who are looking to earn credits will drop by your site to leave their card , which of course leads to more traffic. Some might argue this is not quality traffic where users just come to earn credit. Although I agree there’s some truth to that it is not 100% true. When a blog gets listed in the site you can specify a category, I chose my category as making money online, So its safe to say most coming towards my blog are looking to earn money online, So if my blog has some great posts about generating traffic , making money online , chances are they will read and comment about them. After going through Entrecard added blogs I found some interesting things each blog has done to attract readers. Doing some more research and will update you all in another post. Maybe I’ll have a contest and giveaway some Entrecard credits , According to Niro at SlBlogs that should be the second blog contest in the Sri Lankan blogsphere.

Anyhow I don’t feel this is much targeted traffic. I wanted test cos most of our bloggers asked on this. Entrecard is still on the development. Somany loop holes to score higher.
