In the previous post I talked about my traffic sources , traffic is always good but to rank high in search engines and to build a good PR you need back links , more importantly back links from quality sites. Two or three back links from a PR1 site can be more important than ten to twenty back links from PR0 sites.There are many ways to build back links and some are frowned upon by Google :) .
Buying back links is one of the easiest things that you can do to get back links.There are sites like Text Link Ads and TNX.net where you can buy links from thousands of websites.This practice is usually frowned upon by Google and there are many sites who got a slap in their page rank because of buying and selling text links.But done correctly they are a great way to build up back links.Make sure to read the guides in those sites before you start throwing away your cash. If you do decide to buy some back links make sure to promote your keywords.How much did I spent on buying back links ? 0$ :)

If you don’t have cash there are plenty of other ways to get back links. One of the easiest ways is to comment on do-follow blogs.When commenting blogs don’t add your blogs name in the website column in the comment form, instead add a link to one of your posts , better if its related to the post your commenting on.The problem with do-follow blogs is you don’t find many of them with a high PR , but something is better than nothing :) .And please don’t comment for the sake of it , give some valid input for other readers.This is one of the main reasons I removed do-follow from my blog. People just said great post and added a link , Although it increased my comments it didn’t add any value to my blog , I took it down within 4 days.

Another great way to build back links is to get reviewed by other blogs. This will not only give you back links to your home page but to few of your posts as well.There are many sites where you can order a review , and if you don’t have cash to order a review , there are plenty of sites in the blog sphere who are giving away blog reviews as prizes.That is where sites like Entrecard comes in handy, there are hundreds of contests held every day and you can know about most of them by browsing Entrecard for few minutes.Be sure to visit back because I will also be having a contest where you can win a review from this blog ( back links from a PR3 site) .If you don’t seem to be winning anything write a review about other blogs of your niche.More often than not the blog you reviewed will link back to your blog. Also look for blogs where they have installed the Top commentators plug-in and comment in those blogs ,I have the top commentators plug-in :).More back linking strategies and one sure way to get a link from a PR4 site in the next post :)
