How a simple change increased my Page Views

Every blogger wants their readers to stay on their blog , To read other posts written by them and of course to give their opinion about those posts. Tricky part is letting the readers know of these posts. Hardly anyone goes through the archive to read a post , So if a blogger wants readers to read other posts the readers should be able to access them easily. If you are using wordpress there are plenty of plug-ins where they display recent posts and recent comments , which go a long way in improving your page views. Adding those plugins are not that hard but adding those plugins solve only half the problem. If you are using the default theme that comes with wordpress you only get two columns. One for posts and another column for your widgets. After adding the standard widgets like the archive and the blogroll it doesn’t leave you a lot of space to add your recent comments and recent readers plugin . The best solution is to go for a three column theme. One advantage of having lots of people developing lots of themes is you are sure to find one that suites your taste.There is no harm in trying it and if you don’t like it you can always go back to the default theme. If you decide to take my advice and try a three column theme I recommend you try out talian-10 ( No I’m not making any money promoting this ) . Below are few reasons why I recommend it.

• LatestComments and Recentpost widgets comes with the package so you don’t need additional plug-ins for that.
• Theme comes Adsense ready so its easier to add Adsense adds.
• There are three column so you can show most of your widgets at the top of the page.
