I was actually shocked at the reasons people don’t support longevity research ,and the one I found most confusing is that people don’t support it because they want to go to there creator quickly.Our basic instinct is to survive , I can remember people jumping off the WTC when it caught on fire and I doubt they would do something like that in any other moment.Very few seems to be researching on this subject and not many are daring enough to test their methods on humans it seems. Macho! Living that long is not that simple. You have to make every organ of your body last extra longer. Or you need viable replacements when they fail.
For example cells in your brain does not reproduce. So at some point of your time they will run out.
And if people manage to double their lifespan just imagine what will happen to already overpopulated planet. Its better to live only about 80 years and die, at least until we find another planet to put extra people. Another idea would be genetically modify humans so we have smaller bodies so the planet will be able to sustain more people with the same amount of resources
